I’m proud to announce that Authentic Images by Jennifer Knapp is now a participating member in The American Child Photographers Charity Guild!  ACPCG is a non-profit organization of child photographers dedicated to providing portrait services free of charge for critically ill children and their families.  The loss of a child is devastating, I can only hope to help ease the pain by giving the families beautiful images to remember their child by.  If you or anyone you know are experiencing the loss of a child, please visit www.acpcg.com for more information.

Simply Beautiful

September 24, 2006

I’m in love with everything about this session.  It took place indoors which is something I don’t get to do a whole lot of; the house had tons of natural light, and is beautifully and simply decorated.  This family was so natural, and totally in love with it’s newest member.  You can really feel the emotion coming through the photographs.  I was told they prefer black and white photos (I think they are just after my heart on that one) and the end result is fabulous.  Simple, clean, beautiful.  Meet Marin and her parents:

The Wheels on the Bus…

September 9, 2006

Great engagement session.  Lots of laughter, lots of love, lots of….singing!  Apparently, the wheels on the bus do indeed, go round and round.  Just ask Matt and Kristen!

Ham & Cheese

September 9, 2006

Ridley was quite the little ham who loved to say "CHEESE!!!!"  Everytime I lifted the camera up at him  (at least for the first 10 minutes or so) he’d get a huge grin on his face and say "cheese!"  It wasn’t long before we loosened up and got some "non-cheesey" grins, but what a little ham.   I’m sure his cheeks are going to hurt him tomorrow.  I don’t think he quit smiling the entire time.  He was up for anything too….playing in a fountain. climbing a tree, chasing ducks, anything.  Oh, yes, the playing the in fountain thing.  Well, we didn’t get as wet as I normally do, but we still had fun.  Heresssss, Ridley….

Take 2….

September 3, 2006

It was decided that we would try another day to see if maybe Austin (see Candid Camera) might be more receptive to another location.  This time we picked Riverpointe.  We had fun, I got some great shots, and we all got wet!

With my last few sessions of playing in water fountains and small (man-made) creeks, I think I need to put a clause in my portrait agreement that states there is a VERY good chance we will get wet during the session.  Ahhh, what’s a summer portrait session good for if you don’t have fun!

Sweet, Sweet Baby

September 2, 2006

I seem to get some of the cutest kids as clients!  This is Logan.  He is my first "watch me grow" program participant.  The first picture I took of him, he was nothing more than a big, round belly!  Look how far he has come.  In fact, that’s him up in the banner in the basket.  This was his four month session, and he has started to develop quite the personality.  Lots of smiles and coos even though I was intruding on nap time….Sorry Logan!!!
