Sweet, Sweet Baby

August 30, 2008

The first time I met this family was for big brother's newborn pictures and now, it was an honor to meet his little sister.  She was such an angel.  Once Grandma got her to sleep, she slept so soundly and let me move her around as much as I wanted….. as long as she was on her belly!!!!

So….here’s the scoop!

August 27, 2008

A lot of you already know this, but I had a little incident with my computer not to long ago.  The data file for Outlook (which was my email and scheduling program) became corrupted.  As hard as we tried, the file couldn't be restored and I ended up losing EVERYTHING…..  My Emails….. GONE.  My Contacts….. GONE.  My Session Calendar …… GONE!  Luckily, I recently invested in a Blackberry and things like my calendar were able to be pieced back together.  But I am still left with a lot of information lost.

SO…. if you have emailed me in the last week or two and I have not responded, chances are your email got lost in the crash.  Shoot me another one and I will get back to you ASAP!

Now back to my sobbing!  This has been a nightmare!

The Littlest Angel…

August 15, 2008

She was a dream, well, besides the first few minutes when she let me know exactly what she thought of the whole process and forced me to change my shirt (you can read between the lines on that one!) She slept nearly the whole time, only waking once to feed, then went right back to sleep and right back to shooting.  She kept that adorable tongue sticking out for most of the session too.  She's such a cutie.  Once again, I overshot and am going to have a tough time narrowing the images down!

Ms. "J" was so full of life, completely rocking horse obsessed (that's a completely different set of portraits) and in love with her little sister.  The whole family is.  Although baby "M" wasn't as smiley as we would have wished, she was still so content and that contentment led to beautiful images.

A Real Life Baby Doll…

August 7, 2008

I couldn't quite put my finger on it while Baby "C" was in the studio.  The entire time I kept thinking is it possible for a 3 month old you remind you of someone?  And then I figured it out, when I was little I had this baby doll (it was a "real baby" for those of you that remember the 80's) that looked just like her.  I searched my daughter's room for it hoping I had passed it on to her, but alas, no luck.  Maybe it's just me, but she looks like a real life baby doll…..I mean really…..look at those big brown eyes!

Sweet Baby “N”

August 6, 2008

Look at him!  Couldn't you just eat him up!  He was such a good baby too (a little tough to get to sleep - but I seem to have that effect on newborns, they always want to stay awake when I'm there!) but such a good baby.  Once he finally sacked out, he let me pose him anyway I wanted, and MOM, what a trooper she was!  So very patient!  I'm sure at times she thought I was nuts, but look at the images that came from all the waiting!  WELL WORTH IT!

I’m back….

August 1, 2008

We came back on Wednesday afternoon and of course, even though my trusty Blackberry kept me in touch, I still arrived to a mound of voicemail and email messages.  I'm shooting for the next 3 days in a row and returning messages as quickly as possible in between!  Thanks for understanding!

and for a little Friday morning humor….
