Archive for September, 2008

Thanks to Hurricane Ike, most of southeast Texas is in a state of emergency.  Even though Huntsville didn't get near the damage and devastation of other places farther south, we did experience an EXTENDED period of power outage - 6 days at my house.  This has left me having to juggle sessions, backed up in proofing and ordering and altogether a mess.  If you had a session scheduled for last week or this weekend, I will be in touch with you soon (if I haven't already) to get you back on the schedule at a mutually acceptable date and time.

Those waiting for proofing galleries, invoices and orders, I am running about a week behind due to Ike, but working long hours to try and catch up.  I appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thanks to my friend Kim for publishing the post below this for me.  She was one of the lucky ones that only lost power for a few hours.

Due to damage and power outages from Hurricane Ike, Authentic Images by Jennifer Knapp is closed thru Sunday, September 21, 2008.  All sessions due to take place during this time period have been cancelled. Like many of my clients, I am without power and many of the modern conveniences we come to depend on.  Once my power is restored, I will resume business operations and will then start rescheduling those sessions effected by this tragedy.  Thanks for understanding and take care of your family and neighbors

This is so overdue….

September 10, 2008

Yikes…..so, so, so overdue. These two were absolutely adorable.  We had a blast, went swimming in a fountain - that really wasn't intentional, but it was so hot, it was a great cool down.  We looked at bugs and airplanes and generally just explored the world.  That's the type of photography I love!

Triple Threat!

September 2, 2008

2 year old triplets, that's exhausting just thinking about, but these 3 were great.  They were full of energy and EXTREMELY FAST, but we still had a blast.  I concentrated more on getting great candid shots because as any parent knows, getting one 2 year old to actively cooperate in a posed setting is an adventure, getting 3 to do it is a miracle!
