Brothers and Sisters

November 21, 2008

these pictures speak for themselves.  Getting the baby to sleep wasn't the easiest thing, but once we did, he pretty much let me move him around as much as I wanted and check out the results:

I LOVE REPEATS!

November 20, 2008

I first met Luke when he was about 10 days old, then he was just a sleepy newborn with loads of dream smiles.  Now he's 9 months and those smiles just keep on coming.  He is such a smiley baby. Of course it helped that mom and dad AND grandma and grandpa were all on hand to get him laughing and MAN, did it work!

Oh, the Drama!

November 19, 2008

We got off to a bit of a rocky start with Ms. Callie, but once mom and I figured out what she needed, she was all smiles.  Mom brought along her beautiful Christening gown and we got some gorgeous shots in that, but of course, my favorites are the tutu and naked baby shots.

A New Magazine Cover

November 18, 2008

well…I am behind on blogging once again.  Much to my surprise, my image was chosen to be the cover of Living Magazine, a local magazine published in the Houston area.  These are great clients of mine and although the session was rushed due to time constraints, we still had a great time.  I have another portrait coming out in a magazine, this time it's a NATIONAL MAGAZINE.  As soon as it's released, I'll post it here!  Here's the cover and a few other snaps from our session:

Those two little redheads!

November 6, 2008

I have been wanting to do a session with these two little girls for about a year now, needless to say I was thrilled when mom finally called me.  I have had my fair share of twins and even triplets, but this is the first set that I have actually had a hard time being able to tell who is who.  I finally have it figured out. Meet Lexi:

These two crack me up.  Each session with them has been a complete joy, this one is no different.  We struggled at first to get everyone to warm up and get comfortable for the family shots, but by the time we got around to their individual shots, they were all personality.

This little one made me work for every penny.  We had 3 different sessions over a 2 week period to try and complete the session.  She is BY FAR the most alert newborn I have ever seen.  She was wide awake most of the time and also ready to nurse at any given moment.  But those few shots she did let me get are breathtaking.

It’s all Ike’s Fault!

November 3, 2008

We originally had this session scheduled for the day before Ike hit the Houston area and obviously had to reschedule for a better day.  Well, the day we rescheduled for was COLD.  Mom had bought all the clothes for a beautiful summer morning, so short sleeves and dresses were the wardrobe for the family portrait.  By the time we got to the baby's individual portrait, it was time to layer up!  The cold made for some interesting portraits though.  A beautiful family portrait taken in front of a lake is always nice, but how many people have that portrait where the lake actually has steam coming up off it because the water is warmer than the air?
