The Day After Christmas…

December 26, 2008

and I'm still blogging Christmas sessions.  That shows you just HOW far behind I was on blogging!  It's hard to keep up when so many other things are pulling you in different directions!

You would never know it from the pictures, but little Brent was deprived of his usual afternoon nap the day of our session.  I arrived and he had just fallen asleep on the living room floor.  Needless to say, he was not to happy with me or my camera for a little bit.  It took a little patience, but he came around and was soon smiling and laughing at me.

Laurel (and family!)

December 24, 2008

Laurel and her family met me to capture their traditional Christmas image for cards, but Laurel made it clear, she was the star of the show.  Like typical 3 year olds, she was the center of attention and I think she likes it that way. It took a while to get settled in and settled down but once we did she lit up the room.  Big brother Zach was on hand to help with the smiles and tell jokes!  He did a great job too!

Watching them grow…

December 23, 2008

I first met this family when Hannah was about 2 months old and could barely hold her head up.  Now she's not only walking, but running, climbing, jumping and easily escaping my camera!  I have seen them a few more times, including a very short but VERY productive studio session last spring.  Since then Davis has gone from shying away from the camera to eating it up!

And this family is definitely one of them.  The first time I met them was a VERY COLD January day  - seriously….I think it was like 28 degrees outside and we were shooting outdoors - but they were all such sports about it.  I've seen them again several times since then and this time we shot in the studio!  It's guaranteed to be warm there!  Little Kayleigh wasn't over impressed with anything going on, but a bribe from mom (I'm sooooo not above a good bribe)of a small box of dots, some tickles from dad and of course a few laughs with big brother and we were off to the races!

The girls, plus one!

December 18, 2008

The girls are back and they brought a new baby sister!  This is the third year in a row that I have seen the girls, but I will admit, this isn't my first meeting with baby Ashlyn.  I had the honor of doing both mom's maternity session and of course, Ashlyn's own newborn session.  We had fun and it's always great to watch them as they grow!

New Year, New Everything!

December 17, 2008

After the first of the year, I will begin the process of updating, well, EVERYTHING.  My logo needed a update, I kept the 4 dots but switched a few other things up.  The main change will be COLORS.  Chocolate brown, Ice Blue, Crimson and Lime are what I have chosen.  Now, I am NOTORIOUSLY fickle when it comes to these things, so it's entirely possible I may be writing this exact same post again next year with new stuff.  I am also going to be updating my website with new images (it's been quite a while since I did that!)  If there is an image you think I HAVE to use, let me know.  I am always up for suggestions!

Fall is in the air…

December 16, 2008

So, with the Christmas season winding down for me, I finally have time to blog some of the sessions from the last couple of weeks.  This was a fun session and a nice break from all the Christmas hubbub.  Audrey and Andrew are getting married in April in the Caribbean, but wanted some fall images to celebrate their engagement.  They are so blissfully happy that it exudes from every image. I wish them the best of luck and all the happiness with their upcoming marriage!
