Authentic Images by Jennifer Knapp will be closed July 25, 2009 thru August 6, 2009.  I will be returning to the office after that, but will be in and out due to scheduled sessions.  Emails and phone calls will be answered upon returning.

Anytime someone calls to book a session for twins I get excited.  Whenever someone calls to book a session for NEWBORN twins, I get ecstatic!  It’s such a challenge, but it’s so rewarding at the same time.  This session was relatively easy for a newborn session let alone a newborn TWIN session.  We had a little hiccup at first.  Chloe seemed to be upset while Nicholas was sleeping like a rock…then Nicholas got upset while Chloe was snoozing…and then it happened…the stars aligned and they both drifted into a slient slumber at the same time and let me move them about without so much as a peep!  Enjoy the silence while you can mom and dad, something tells me your house won’t stay that way for long!

I first met Miss Lucy when she was about 10 days old!  She came in for her newborn session and slept like a champ.  This time around she wasn’t QUITE as cooperative, but you wouldn’t know it from the images.  I really love when I get to watch these babies grow from newborn to infant into toddler and even beyond.  It’s like a journey for me too.  I love to watch how they change and get a kick out of the personalities they soon develop.

We stayed in the studio for the most part - it was just plain TOO HOT outside to spend more than a few minutes out there.  I also vastly underestimated how popular the yellow background would be.  It seems as soon as a client sees it, they fall in love with it.  The colors together are just soooo summery and a perfect way to show the season and mark a milestone.

…you don’t even have time to BLOG!  I have 9 sessions (YES…9!!!!!) sessions waiting to be blogged.  I have been so busy that unfortunately sneak peeks get put to the back burner and often clients have their gallery before the session was blogged.  I am working hard to catch up as quickly as possible.  This session was a blast!  This is Tori, she’s one of the contest winners and if you ask my 4 year old son, she’s also his girlfriend!  Tori is a child with a mind of her own and a personality to match.  She’s full of energy and OMG….the expressions. Even the shot of her in the middle of a meltdown is adorable. She was recently in a dance production and brought along some of her costumes to play in….meet the cutest little Belle ever!!

Well, little Landon definitely prefers the outdoors!  We started our session out in the studio due to the heat (yes, it was HOT even at 9 am) but we quickly found that he just wasn’t that interested in being stuck indoors, so we elected to explore Huntsville instead.  What a difference that made.  As soon as we got there he was all smiles….and VERY fast.  He did not stay still for more than 2 or 3 seconds at a time.  It was a constant chase to get him, but ohhhhhh, the expressions were priceless.  He found joy in everything, I guess that is the magic of childhood!
